ONE MAN WITH A DESIRE FOR A TASTE OF HOME

WHERE IT BEGAN

We just love great Southern BBQ!

The origin story of Follow Yer' Nose BBQ begins as a simple tale- One man with a desire for a taste of home. For Taylor Henson that meant Georgia BBQ. So in 2012 he bought a smoker and set to work perfecting his craft. Taylor began slingin meat on Saturdays on a patch of grass and gravel outside the Wildflour Bakery in Emigrant, MT. As word of his standards for quality spread, Saturdays outside the bakery became busier, and before the snow started to fall, Taylor realized that the locals of Paradise Valley also had a yearning for some of that sweet southern goodness!

Demand quickly exceeded expectations and it was time to grow. The following summer debuted a new smoker and the original Follow Yer' Nose Smoke Shack. Each year Taylor saw more and business from locals and tourists alike. Expansion continued and as every new picnic table added was filled with happy patrons, the “shack” started to feel more like a restaurant.

TIME TO GROW

We've come a long way.

In the summer of 2016 we hit maximum capacity on our smoker. The problem was, we needed to smoke more meat! The stage was set for another expansion. The next growth phase saw the demolition of the original smoke shack, the building of our new smoke shack and a massive increase in our seating capacity. What was once a patch of grass and gravel became Follow Yer Nose BBQ World Headquarters. Combined with our delicious house-smoked meat and deep-south homegrown recipes we boast a gorgeous view of Emigrant Peak to gaze at whilst you enjoy our award-winning BBQ, drink a cold beer or cider, and meet friendly locals and tourists who have become our friends and family through a shared love of free live music, beautiful views, great food, cold beer and bad jokes.
